Chicken potatoes and broccoli is easy and delicious.
This is an easy recipe to make in the crock pot or slow cooker and just good comfort food. My family enjoys this recipe with Southern Cornmeal Hoecakes.
Chicken potatoes and broccoli makes an easy weeknight meal or serve it anytime.
3 or 4 chicken breasts (I use the frozen ones. Could use other chicken parts, too.) 3 or 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks 1 medium onion, peeled and sliced in rings 1 package onion soup mix 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup 1 cup milk 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, undrained 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes 1/2 teaspoon basil 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon salt 1 (1 pound) bag frozen broccoli cuts Add chicken to crockpot, whisk remaining ingredients together in a bowl except broccoli, pour over chicken pieces. Cook on high for 4 hours or low 7 to 8 hours. About 30 minutes before serving add the broccoli to the crockpot and cook until tender. Serves 4 to 6 depending on number of chicken pieces. Enjoy!
